Get Your Fall Rhinestone Wardrobe Ready

As we say goodbye to summer hats, swimsuits and beach coverups we say hello to all our fabulous fall clothing we’ve missed! As the nights get chilly, wrapping up in your favorite hoodie or sweater feels cozy and comforting and certainly doesn’t mean you can’t still be glamourous.

Over the spring and summer you got to explore your inner diva with DIY rhinestone flip flops and bikinis but now is the time to glam up your fall wardrobe.

1. Bling Your Buttons

Does your favorite sweater look like it can make it through another season? Breathe new life into your basic by adding rhinestone buttons.

This small adjustment can glam up your old faves! There are a number of ways to do it, so choose the best for you.

You can either remove the existing buttons and replace them with crystal buttons or simply attach a sew-on jewel if you prefer. Just to throw one more option into the mix, depending on the type of buttons you currently have, you can use the HotFix stones to simply glue new rhinestones over the old buttons.

2. Rhinestone Bra

Okay, what does this have to do with fall?

Absolutely everything!

Just because you are wearing more clothing doesn’t mean you have to dial down the sexy. This DIY project is easy and can add some pizazz to any outfit.

First choose whether you would like to use an existing bra or you can purchase the bandeau bra of your choice. These typically work the best since they are meant to be seen and can look very cute with wide armed shirts or anything sheer.

You’ll need a few things (other than the bra) to get you started. Choose a strong fabric glue, an assortment of your favorite flat-back rhinestones and measuring tape.

Create a design and layout the pattern so it is symmetrical using the measuring tape. Decide where you want the stones placed and create a template with your dimensions, add a dab of glue and start creating your masterpiece.

Allow plenty of time (24 hours to play it safe) and then get ready to wow, whether only you know you are wearing it or it is peeking out under a cute shirt, you will feel summer-time glam even when the temps drop.

3. Rhinestone Your Boots

Missing your favorite rhinestone summer sandals?

Recreate this great look with rhinestone boots. There are a number of ways you can get creative with this one but one of my favorite looks is to add the stones to toes of your boots.

Just as the earlier bra project, you will need strong glue and your favorite assortment of flatback rhinestones.

Try adding some texture by choosing different colors, sizes and shapes and create whatever pattern you like. A heart shape with the point at the toe looks adorable but you can’t go wrong with any design!

What are your other staple fall outfits? Get your glue, your stones and your imagination ready – fall is about to get a lot more glamorous!
